Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao, also known as Camila Cabello, is a Cuban-American actress, singer, and songwriter born on March 3, 1997, in Coj mar, Havana, Cuba. She rose to fame as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, but established herself as a solo artist while still in the group. Cabello has released collaborations such as "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendes and "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly, which reached number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. She left Fifth Harmony in 2016 and released her debut solo single, "Crying in the Club". Cabello's debut studio album, Camila, reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart and received a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Her lead single, "Havana", topped charts in many countries, including the US and UK, and her second single to top the Billboard Hot 100 was a duet with Mendes called "Se orita". Her second studio album, Romance, topped at number three on the Billboard 200 chart and number one in Canada. Cabello made her acting debut in 2021 in the film Cinderella. Cabello grew up in East Havana and moved to Miami, Florida, with her mother when she was six years old. Her father, Alejandro Cabello, was born in Mexico City and is Mexican. She attended Miami Palmetto High School but left in the 2012-2013 school year to pursue her singing career. Cabello gained American citizenship in 2008. Cabello has a huge fan following on her Instagram account, and she has been in a relationship with Canadian singer Shawn Mendes since July 2019. She has a net worth of $20 million, which she accumulated through her singing and songwriting career, collaborations with Pitbull and J Balvin, and endorsement for the clothing brand Kohl. Cabello is also a philanthropist and has partnered with Save the Children, donated to GoFundMe campaigns, and participated in non-profit NGOs for the welfare of children and poverty-driven people.
