SCE puts a lot of emphasis in the protection of employees along with business security and resilience. Martinez is responsible for providing Safety leaders in the company with the mentoring and quality programmes that are essential to achieve the goals of their safety groups. Martinez was director for Safety Training and Compliance in Transmission & Distribution for SCE prior to his current position. He previously served as director of Safety and Compliance for Power Supply and Operational Services. In Martinez's 30 years of service at SCE the company, he held several leadership positions within the corrective action program and improvements in performance including roles at the the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.
