Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in film, theater, and TV. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in numerous TV shows and independent as well as mainstream movies. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's huge The Book of Negroes. The series both received praise from critics, and she also won a lot of awards. She began her career acting in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel in The Tempest. Stage credits comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner.
